Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment to try on and/or see your selection of gowns?

Yes! Our store features private consultation areas that are booked for a bride or her party to try on gowns. With the assistance of an experienced and helpful consultant, brides can try lots of gowns in front of full-length mirrors while we accommodate her friends or family to help with her decision. Once you book your appointment, we will be able to customize your time with us to better the chances of finding your perfect dress! We have a $50 consultation fee for Bridal Appointments. The fee will go towards the price of your dress when you purchase. We require 48 hours notice to make any cancellations or changes to your appointment without being charged. We can't wait to meet you and find the dress of your dreams!

How long are appointments?

Bridal appointments are scheduled for 2 hours. We find this gives our brides time to try on all different styles and narrow down to their favorites! Bridesmaid, Prom, and Formal Wear appointments are scheduled for 1 hour.

Who should I bring to my appointment?

Less is more! We suggest bringing your closest friends and family. We are a small boutique, and have comfortable seating for 2 people. We find that your closest friends and family tend to have your best interests at heart making the decision a bit easier for you when choosing your gown! Sometimes many opinions can make decision making difficult.

What should I wear for undergarments to my appointment?

We suggest nude underwear, and a strapless bra. Feel free to bring shape wear as well. Most of our gowns have a lot of structure, and undergarments aren't normally required to get the perfect fit!

What are the prices of the gowns?

Our wedding gowns range from $1200 to $3000 with most priced under $2000. We carry a great selection of gowns to accommodate any budget. Bridesmaids’ dresses range from $199 to $400. Prom and formal wear gowns range from $375-$1200.

When should I start shopping and how long does it take to order a gown?

Most wedding gowns can be ordered within 4 to 6 months. We recommend shopping for your gown about a year before to allow plenty of time for your gown to come in and to book your fittings. Otherwise, we can help you select from our vast selection of sample dresses available for purchase or can offer rush orders from certain designers. Most bridesmaids' dresses, prom and evening gowns can be ordered in 3 to 4 months. Please allow extra time for the dresses to be fitted. Many companies will do rush cuts in less time for an extra charge. Sample dresses are available to try on in store from sizes 8-24. Otherwise, we can assess the style and cut your body type requires and based on measurement charts, order your size, style and color of your bridesmaid’s dress. A couple other things to consider: Prices change, and collections change. If you’ve found a dress and you love it, you should be aware that the manufacturer can discontinue a style at any time (even new collections!) and prices are constantly changing to reflect increased manufacturing and shipping costs.

Do you rent gowns?

All of our gowns are available for purchase only. We do however have accessories such as bolero jackets, fur shawls, and crinolines available for rental.

What is a trunk show?

A trunk show is when a designer sends their entire new collection to us for a few weeks. This is a great opportunity for you to see and try on all the gowns from an entire collection!

Should I buy at a Bridal Shop or the Internet?

While shopping over the internet is easy, convenient, and can sometimes save you money, you should NEVER buy a wedding gown over the internet. The internet is filled with discounters who claim to have the "real thing", but are nothing more than cheap knock offs of designer gowns. The dresses arrive in a brown box, wrinkled, and are usually of incredible poor quality. It is not unheard of for the dress being sewn together incorrectly and or beads being glued on instead of sewn on and it falling apart on you. Not at all what you might have imagined for the dress of the most important day of your life. There are so many benefits to purchasing at a Full Service Bridal Boutique. We are here to support you throughout the process. A bridal consultant is there to help you choose a gown that is appropriate for the day, your style, body type, and budget. She will also use her expertise to help you choose all of your accessories to complete your look for the day. We offer in house alterations, and when you pick up your gown before you big day, it is steamed and picture ready! Most importantly, you have the peace of mind that your gown is the real thing by purchasing at an authorized bridal boutique. For more helpful information please visit

Frequently Asked Questions

Are alterations always required or will my dress fit perfectly when I try it on for the first time?

We have become accustomed to alterations being required 99% of the time. Gowns are ordered based on the nearest available size to your measurements. Measurements are taken at the bust, waist, and hips, and the size ordered is based on the largest measurement with tailoring required for the smaller measurements.

What are the alterations costs?

Alterations are individually based and priced, but range from as low as $35 to $300 depending on the work involved. Our bridal professionals will offer a quote prior to alterations being started.

How many fittings are required?

Once you have purchased your gown and it has arrived at the boutique, you will require approximately 4 fittings (depending on the work needing to be done). After the final fitting we will steam your gown so it will be ready for you to take home.

When can I start alterations?

We recommend starting alterations 3 months before your event date. The balance owing on your gown must be fully paid before alterations can be started.

What do I need to bring with me for fittings?

The shoes and undergarments that you will wear on your big day are key to making sure you get the perfect fit during your appointment. Please bring them with you!

Who should I bring with me to fittings?

To make sure we can give you our full attention please only bring 2 people with you to the fitting appointments. This makes it easier to manage feedback.
